Each year, Secret 7 invites designers and artists from around the world to redesign 7 vinyl pressings of famous artists with one condition: The name of the artist and song should remain a secret.
In 2013, hundreds of artists and designers, among which, Ai Wei Wei, Gilbert & George and David Shrigley designed secret artworks for Laura Marling’s “The Beast”; Elton John’s Bennie and The Jets; Haim’s Better Off; Jessie Ware’s Still Love Me; Nas’s The Don; Nick Drake’s Rider On The Wheel; and Public Enemy’s Harder Than You Think.
The finalist designs were exhibited in the offices of Ogilvy and Mather in London. Visitors had a chance to buy the secret vinyl sleeves.
