The Brief
Every year the Albanian Public Broadcaster (RTSH) submits the winning song of the National Song Contest (Festivali i Këngës) in the Eurovision Song Contest. Lindita Halimi’s song “World” participates in the 2017 edition. The song’s lyrics reflect inequality and war as issues of today’s world.
The Solution
The music video concept is based on the song’s opening verses “…So alike yet different”. The protagonist (the artist) enacts two roles representing two opposite world. A futuristic, corporate and dystopian one, and an ethnical war-torn one. By visual means, the music video pays tribute to the events unfolding in the middle East.
